Ok, this topic makes me absolutely livid but I will do my best to make my point come across as clear as possible. I fucking hate people that associate a group of people with one person that does something seriously fucked up. If you haven't heard the news yet let me inform you. Apparently an otaku living here in Chicago was arrested and is now charged with assault and battery because he started talking with a chick on Facebook , also an otaku, and eventually they met up with each other at an anime convention that happen this past June. Something good must have happened at that con because shortly after they moved in together. After she was moved in he apparently began to beat her, cut her , and made her do all types of weird stuff like making her kneel down on grains of rice. The girl is safe now and the bad guy is in jail but now all other otaku here in the city and probably other places are being associated with this psycho tool bag simply because we share a common interest. Some people are even ignorant enough to blame this whole incident on the fact that he watches anime. You can blame a crime lime this on the fact that this person watches cartoons. That like saying a crack head became one after watching one on television. No one wants to be associated with this guy especially not me. And seeing that some people are being verbally harassed because of what someone they don't even know did is just wrong. Yes, I've seen people being bullied because they had on an anime shirt or some other type of anime merchandise . I myself was verbally attacked but I know give it back tenfold so I was left alone. I feel sorry for the people who have to suffer because of this sadistic asshole. I also feel sorry for the people who are out here bullying people. Have you nothing else to do with your time? Obviously not. Stop the hate people. You're only sending yourselves to hell that much faster. To my fellow otaku I ask of you that if see someone being harassed because of this mess, please intervene and do something to stop this. And as for the fucktard who started this shit I hope that you get some help fix your mental issues and remember not to drop the soap. To the victim of this incident I hope that your healing process both for the mental and physical damage can begin as soon as possible . I wish you well. OTAKU UNITE!!!!!!!!!!!!

How to Date an Otaku Girl

This movie shows its audience one guy’s difficulty dating a Fujoshi Otaku which is basically a hardcore yaoi fan. If you dont know what that is…google it like everybody else. Being a yaoi fan myself I found this movie to be extremely stereotypical. I should have figured as much but I was kind of hoping that it wouldn’t do that it was wishful thinking. I think it was that fact that made the movie not as enjoyable as it could have been for me. Somethings about this movie kinda bugged me. First of all, I wouldn’t think that it would be a good idea to bring my boyfriend to a butler club. That just spells out uncomfortable. I wouldn’t bring my boyfriend to the yaoi section of the bookstore and I’d pray he ‘d never bring me to the yuri section. It was things like that just kinda urked me. Overall it was an ok movie with you’re classic manga style sweet ending. I’d give it 3.5 stars out of 5. ^-^

Chicago Bishies!

I think I’m finally getting used to the chicago weather up here. When I first got here, going outside was completely out of the question for me. It was far too cold. Now I can go out there with just skinny jeans and a thin sweater. Hooray for adaptation!

I’ve on an anime dry spell lately because I’ve been kind of preoccupied with NickToons. Curse you Degrassi! Curse yoooooooooooooooooooou! Thanks to my buddy Marcus I think that dry spell might be over. He pointed me towards an anime called Hakuouki. It has two of my favorite things in it: Samurai and Bishounen. =^0^=
It’s only 12 episodes which is good for me. I love them short and sweet. Inuyasha turned me off of long series anime. Sowwy -_-‘.

I’m kinda looking forward to New Years even though I don’t have anything planned as of yet. Nothing wrong with a quiet New Years at home with family. I really don’t feel like doing anything anyway.

As a lot of people may know I’m a proud Otaku so when I see other people show just how much of otaku they are it makes me feel kind happy. This one girl has my dream bedroom. Its so amazing!

Scott Pilgrim = Total K.O.

*SPOILER ALERT* you have been warned

Normally I don’t like book to movie adaptations. No matter what somebody always manages to screw something up and it pisses me off. However, with Scott Pilgrim this was not the case. A couple of days before the film’s debut I read through all 6 volumes of the graphic novel. By the middle of volume 1 I was already entranced by the story line and all of its wonderful characters. By the time I was finished my expectations of the movie were supremely high. After watching all of the previews that I could, the only worries that I had about the movie were about Michael Cera. He didn’t really look a lot like the Scott from the comics and his voice isn’t what I imagined Scott sounding like but, that’s just me being picky I guess. Well when I went to see the movie that afternoon, I was really getting nervous. I wanted so badly to like the movie but I was scared it was going to be a total disaster. My friends told me to chill out and I did my best to. When the movie first started and I saw that they had 8-bitted the Universal Theme, I was already impressed. It only got better from there. Actually it kind of freaked me out that the movie followed the comic so well, even down to listing what belonged to who in Wallace’s apartment. It was really trippy. The common use of Zelda music in the movie really made me happy. The movie followed the comic story line extremely well except for a few bits. I didn’t like the fact that it didn’t tell you about Scott’s High School life but they made up for that with Scott Pilgrim vs. The Animation coming on Adult Swim. Another thing that kind of got on my nerves was that they didn’t properly explain the Subspace highways. It left a lot of people who weren’t familiar with the comic confused about the whole thing. Not much, but a few things were changed in the movie that weren’t in the comic that I actually liked better. For Instance, the battle between Scott and the Japanese twins…I liked it much better than the robot battles. Also the whole head glowing thing was left out which I was glad for because I didn’t really understand it in the first place. The thing I loved the most about the movie was its music. The music that the bands played and the score for the movie were simply excellent. The music that was playing during Scott’s battle with Gideon gave me chills. Kudos to the dude who was in charge of the film’s music. Overall I have to give this movie a 9.5 out of 10. I loved it and I can’t wait to buy it on DVD. If you haven’t seen it yet I strongly suggest you do.

Their 2009 hit "Ring Ding Dong" was enough to get almost everyone on the dance floor and now they've done it again and better if I do say so myself. The fangirls have been going crazy over their new single "Lucifer". I must say I'm one of them. I managed to get a copy of the album from YesAsia and I must say it is fantastic. Honestly I have haven't stopped listening to it since it arrived. 2 days ago the official music video was released for the single. Total Views (Counting Fan Reposts): 1,931,181. In just two days!! This song is officially a summer hit along SUJU's "Bonamana and Boom Boom" and Miss A's "Bad Girl, Good Girl".

Not only was this single amazing but the whole album is amazing. As I listen to each song it just keeps getting better and better. Now when I first started listening to it some of the songs sounded a bit odd but, it was a nice kind of odd. The song on the album have more of a hip hop feel to them normal and I like that. I highly recommend you give these songs a listen. Links to some of my faves are below.

Country Living from a Young Soul

I’m sitting here on my uncle’s farm. Yes I said farm. I do live in the country, where the cow pies are all over the place and there isn’t one place you can sit without being eaten by some type of bug. You may think I’m exaggerating but I’m not. These suckers are everywhere. Not that I really mind. I’ve been in the states since I was about 8 years old so I’m kind of used to all the smells and bites and whatever else dangers that there are. I think the country would be a lovely place to be if only there was something to do down here. All of the cool places you may have in your towns: Bookstores, Coffee shops, huge malls, Skate parks, High-tech Libraries, Restaurants, Record stores…..we don’t have that here. None of that. In the town I live in we have about 4 gas stations, Wal-Mart, Winn-Dixie, a couple of small clothing shops, a payless, a Sears that only sells appliances, some dollar stores, a meat shop, a couple of Subways, a rundown skating rink that no one goes to anymore and a Mickey D’s. That’s all. Oh, and lots and lots of farm and woods. Nothing at all special. The only place people can find to hang out is Wal-Mart. That is where you can see everybody in town there. If you go in there and sit down for 10 minutes, you’ll probably see everyone that you graduated high school with or go to school with or almost everyone in your family. Everybody in town is either there or will be there sometime during the day. It really sucks. Well, I’m getting maybe I’m exaggerating a little there is some stuff. Its just really really far away. The mall is about 30 minutes away, 40 if you are riding with your mom. Its not really impressive but its better than nothing. The only bookstore we have is a BAM. It used to be really awesome but ever since they starting taking other good books away to make room for all of these crappy vampire novels its been going to hell. They even cut my beloved manga/comic section in half to make room for those vamp books. But that’s a rant for another time. The nearest art museum is about 2 ½ hours away which really sucks because I love art museums. I have my art teacher Mrs. Watkins to thank for that. Its boring as all get out here. I can’t wait until I can get out of here and move to the city. When we went to Chicago for Thanksgiving I loved the bustling city. So many places to go and so many things to do. The excitement was almost too much for me. I never wanted to leave especially since I knew I had to come back here. But oh well what can you do. I hoping that once I’m done with Junior College I’ll be able to go to a big university in either San Fransico or Chicago….or maybe even New York. I’m saving my money now so as soon as I’m able I’ll be gone. The country is nice,….if you are retired and looking for a peaceful way of living. Any body 30 and younger……come here for a picnic and then leave while you can.

No More Heros

For the past couple of months I've been doing a lot of research on the games No More Heroes and No More Heroes : Desperate Struggle. I know these games have been out forever but because I live with my grandmother and she has no TV I'm somewhat out of the loop. I've been on the games wikia....watching gameplay on youtube...I love it. The characters are great and I love the different types of weapons that you get to see. I also love the fact that not every character in the game is male. I hate action games like that. Another reason I love this game is because of its violent content and its the first game that I have heard of that when exported to Japan it was censored when normally we are censoring Japan's stuff. I would really like to play this game but there is a small problem. I'm not familiar with the Nintendo Wii. I don't know the controls and I don't know what button does what. The only game I've played on the Wii is Wii bowling and Smash Bros. Brawl but I used the Gamecube controller. Thats it. When I play games on a gaming system that I am unfamiliar with, it makes me nervous. Should I start out my Wii experience with No More Heroes or something else? It makes me wonder. But I really want to play this game. Of course with all the gameplay vids on youtube I already know how it ends but I still would like to play it for myself you know? I'd like to have that badge of accomplishment on my gamer sash.

Racebending??

Ok,..this topic was brought up to me by a friend of mine that lives in Tokyo. People are getting upset over the new Avatar movie over a dumb reason. At least I think it is. People are terrified that The Last Airbender is going to be the next Dragonball Evolution *shudders* because most of the main characters are being cast Caucasian when obviously the characters are either of Asian or Aleutian (Alaskan) decent. From what people can tell the only people who are Asian....or in Zuko's case...Indian are the Fire Nation. Personally I didn't think that the cast's race would make much of a difference. I think that it will an amazing movie and I can't wait to see the next two after it. I think what made the Dragonball movie so bad was the horrible acting and pitiful special effects. I don't think that will be the case with Airbender. Plus even though the kid is white,...that little boy looks just like Aang and I dare someone to say he doesn't. I think this whole boycotting thing is ridiculous...there is even a website about this topic called racebending.com. What do you guys think,..do you think the image of Avatar will be tainted because of Paramounts casting or do you think it will make no difference? And do you think that this whole thing should go as far as boycotting?

I never really knew how just a few years could change a person so much. Earlier today I was hanging out on Facebook just looking up some of kids I used to go to high school with, just to see if they had facebooks. Well on the right hand side of my page it showed that little column that says "People You May Know". The name that was showing was guy I had known since kindergarten practically. There was only one problem that I saw with seeing his name there. The picture that was beside it didn't look like him at all. I clicked on his name so I would be able to look at his profile just to make sure my eyes weren't playing tricks on me. It turns out that the picture that I saw next to his name WAS him. No longer boyish looking. Now he bares a strong resemblance to Jack Black....only a lot thinner. No offence to Jables. The last time I saw him was at his high school graduation in 2008 and now I found out that he is in Nashville Tennessee in a band. I guess they are trying to make it big or maybe they already are and I don't know about them or something. But I found it amazing to see how much he's changed and all the changes he has made in just a short while. Compared to him it doesn't seem like I've changed all that much at all really. Just my normal goofy self. Mmm....... more thought must be put into this.

Favorite Movie Villains (Or at least the people who play them)

Almost every movie has a bad guy and sometimes, even though they are evil...you just can't help but love them. I mean some of the bad guys are just awesome you know? If I listed every villain I liked we would be here all day so I've decided just list my top three.

To start things off:

Number 1: Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa

This guy has been in a buttload of movies. 40 according to Wikipedia. But the role I know him from was when he played Shang Tsung in the 1996 movie adaptation of Mortal Kombat. I don't think they could have found a better person to play the role. He has a..how do you say? A "Shang Tsungish" personality. Another film where he was the bad guy was Showdown in Little Tokyo(1991) where he plays a Yakuza boss taking over in L.A. with crystal meth. That movie was epic and so was his performance...kinda pained me to see him die. *SPOILER ALERT*

Okay back on track.
Villain Number 2: Bolo Yeung

Now I've come across some pretty beastly people in my day but this dude is just awesome. I know him from the movies Bloodsport(1988) and Double Impact(1991) both staring Jean Claude Van Damme. Bolo has been in films since 1970. In most of them he is the villain and does a bloody good job of it. And plus, if you like big muscles, he's quite the bit of eye candy. To this day at age 71 he still lifts weights 2 hours a day and still practices his Tai Chi Chuan. Thats pretty epic if you ask me.

Villain Number 3: Michael Wincott

He was the main bad guy in The Crow (1994). I don't know if it was his gravelly voice or his bad ass attitude but, I love this guy. I haven't seen him in any other movie even though I'm sure he has been in others. He is what I'd like to call the classic bad guy at least in The Crow. Except for the whole sleeping with his sister thing. That was just weird.

The 20 year old spinster??

Getting Engaged. Marriage. Having Kids. Serious Relationships. To me these don't seem like things a 20 year old should be worrying about. Exams, Quizzes, Homework and Finding some weekend fun seem more like it to me. But, people live differently I guess. Over the past couple of weeks I've been keeping in touch with a lot of my old girlfriends from high school and I found out that almost every single one of them are either one of the following: Talking about getting engaged, Engaged, With Child, Thinking about Children, or Married. And these girls are all younger than me which is even more shocking.

At lot of my other friends say that I shouldn't be worried about those other girls because I will find someone for me and blah blah blah. I know I'm going to find someone soon but with everyone getting married and stuff I feel like I'm being left out of something. Everyone around me is with someone and I feel like an old spinster just sitting and watching. I don't know whether to be upset or angry about it. I should probably feel neither. After all people do things at different times. Maybe it’s not time for me to be married yet. Hmmm....

Water Bombed FTW

Ok if you're like me, you love it when someone pulls a good ole fashion prank on someone. Apparently Kpop Celebs enjoy it too. Lately Korean stars Super Junior have been pulling a series of water pranks on each other. The rule is that if you are caught sleeping you get water thrown at you.

Member Donghae was the first one attacked By Heechul, Eunhyuk, and Shindong.

Next the goal was to attack member Shindong.

The first time he dodged the bullet.

The second time,...not so much.

Now the members who orginally planned the attacks were Heechul, Eunhyuk, and Shindong.Shindong got served so now it was Eunhyuk's turn

And boy did they get him in a big way!

Now everyone is wondering. Who will be next on the Super Junior hit list.
Will it be Heechul?
